So we thought it would be fun to give you an inside peek into our latest styling session!
We recently had a friend and neighbor to Chan reach out with a pretty specific request…which we love!! She is a full-time working mama and had a business trip to Charleston coming up where she would need outfits for two work days, two dinner receptions, and a casual day event. All would be work related but not all would be require the same dress code. She asked us to review her closet, assess some recent purchases, and possibly make suggestions to fill in the gaps.
Challenge accepted!
We met Erin at her lovely home and jumped right into business….she had prepped her closet with a few recent purchases that she felt would be great! AND she was so right! For our process, we started with her new favorites and then built from there! We went through her entire closet and thought about her specific schedule to try to use items she already had…just maybe a little re-invented! Then we chatted through her comfort areas…which was super fun because we discovered that Erin has a tendency to be really modern/minimalist! Lastly, we filled in the gaps with pieces that she was missing by scouring our favorite retailers for the perfect items!
She owns several dresses….her natural comfort zone in these events. We totally agreed that a dress is one of those pieces that is so easy to transition from day to night with a few small changes! And while she had a great jacket that is a go-to, we decided that a more draped, faux suede style moto jacket in a blush color might be add the perfect update as blush is trending for spring but is also a feminine, staple color! She mentioned missing a classic pair of black pumps so we added that to the mix. And from there we tried to add in pieces that she could wear to her events but also mix and match back in to what she already owns for when she is not traveling!
What a fun morning! From her point of view, “Can’t wait for my goodies to come in to compliment the outfits you guys picked out. Again, it was a blast- thank you!”
It was such a fun give and take process where in the end we were able to add in some fun, slightly out of the box items for Erin….all while keeping her comfortable in her own style and skin….because at the end of the day, that is was makes it work….you, comfortable in your own skin!

We have several styling options which are a great starting point, but in reality, the process is almost customized! We are always happy and open to working with your personal needs and timeline! Making others feel great about themselves is a true joy for us and one of the main reasons that we are in this business!
