I recently had a birthday, and my girls treated me to a Tea at the Taschen Library at the Joule Hotel! Plus, I do share a birthday with the Queen of England herself so it was only appropriate for a royal occasion! :):) So cool and such an amazing experience! And what do you wear to High Tea, but a beautiful hat or fascinator?! And with the Kentucky Derby right around the corner, I knew I had to make one!
Hobby Lobby had everything I needed! I grabbed lots of bow, feather, flower options and a set of headbands. My real score was this mini straw hat!
I started by securing the mini hat to a neutral colored headband with a little needle and thread. Quick and easy!
The rest was a cinch! Each flower and bow and feather attachment was either a pin or a clip. My assembly was finished in five minute, and I love how it turned out!! Spring deserves color, and this teal and coral happen to be two of my favorites!
Supplies you will need to make your own fascinator!
- thin headband
- miniature hat
- flowers or feather clips/pins
- needle and thread
- glue gun (optional)
