Gift giving means so many different things to so many people! It is meant to honor the recipient by showing him or her that you thought about them when you chose your gift. For some it is an obligation of the season. For some it is super duper stressful! For others, it is truly a joy….the process, the wrapping, and witnessing the opening! It can provoke a suspenseful and almost childlike delight that deep down even the most Scrooge of hearts can actually find pleasure in the process! Do you know why we give gifts at Christmas? The tradition is enjoyed today because when Jesus was born in the manger, three kings came to the baby each with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Today, we honor that tradition by giving gifts to each other on Christmas morning!
