Holiday Survival Guide!

Surviving the holidays is necessary so that you may delight in the memory making!

The holidays are full of hustle bustle, gift wrapping, parties, more parties, baking…and consequently sometimes poor eating, poor sleeping, and maybe a little too much partying. Here are a few of my favorite items to help me survive and keep my immune system boosted so I can enjoy every last Christmas light, service, and wrapped gift!

pillowsprayThere are two super important elements for which to begin. Sleep and water! Easy, right? Then why does it often seem so hard to get in both? When I lay my head on my pillow at night…after the news…after Fallon (awesomeness!), I make sure to spritz my pillow a couple of times with this Aura Cacia Pillow Potion. It has a blend of calming lavender, soothing yarrow and hops to quiet your mind and settle your senses. You will drift off into a dreamy sleep, and man! it smells amazing!! blackblumNext, H2O…again, super important! Did you know that eight glasses of water a day is not necessarily what you need? Makes sense, right? I mean…we are not all the same size and shape so why would our water consumption be the same?? Here’s how to decide…it’s super simple:

  1. Take your weight and multiply by 2/3. Got that one?
  2. Now, add 12oz of water for every 30 minutes you work out. Work out for 45 min each day? Add 18oz of water on top of your normal amount. Pretty sedentary? Stop with step one! 🙂

This is my favorite refillable water bottle, and I love that it has a charcoal filter. Plus, isn’t the cork so cute?! I think the red one is perfect for the holidays!! It makes a darling stocking stuffer!! Binchotan active charcoal has been used in Japan as a water purifier since the 17th century. It reduces chlorine, mineralises the water and balances the pH. The binchotan active charcoal can be used for up to 6 months and amazingly recycles for many secondary uses. Click here to try the Black+Blum Eau Good Water Bottle (Red)!

eo-hand-sanitizerMy next product is a favorite by so many people. Hand Sanitizer!! I know! I know! There is a great debate as to how good hand sanitizer is for you and the long term effect on our immune systems. That is great and super important. For now, I am a mama, and hand sanitizer is my go to when soap and water aren’t available. 🙂 BUT, I go for the organic/natural variety that uses mostly natural botanicals to ward off bacteria. My favorite is EO Hand Sanitizer in the 2oz spray bottle. Perfect for purses, car containers, and backpacks! It comes in Lavender, Peppermint, or Sweet Orange scents. My fav is Lavender!! It uses organic ethanol alcohol as a disinfectant and is 99% effective against germs! Score! Click here to try EO Hand Sanitizer!

everybody-lotion Running the heat. Check! Skin sooooo dry?? Check! Then lotion is a must. This Everyone Lotion is literally for everyone, and it comes in a huge bottle while the price is a great deal! Made of essential oils and herbal extracts, it will really ultra moisturize your skin! And there are three awesome scents: Lavender and Aloe, Citrus and Mint, and Coconut and Lemon. I am a Lavender fan if you can’t already tell, but I also like trying the other scents, too. See which EO Products EveryOne Lotion Lavender And Aloe, 32 fl oz you like and let me know!

sabadilFeel a sniffle coming on, I swear by Sabadil. Have you ever tried it??* It is a homeopathic remedy for hayfever and other upper respiratory allergies. It works naturally with your body! My favorite part about it is that it does not cause drowsiness or interact with other medications. You toss a couple under your tongue to dissolve, and voila! Pretty soon you are back to your old self!! Try some Boiron Sabadil Tablets for yourself and see how great this product is!

So, there it is! This is how I stay healthy during the holidays, and I l

*As with any medication, always consult your doctor before trying something new.
